Electrical Reliability Services, a pioneer in the independent electrical testing industry, reveals new logo, reflects on history
Columbus, Ohio [May 5, 2021] – Electrical Reliability Services (ERS), a subsidiary of Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), announced a brand refresh today, to celebrate 50 years in the electrical testing business and convey the company’s leadership in safety, technical expertise and service quality.
Now known as ERS, the company was founded in 1971 as Electro-Test Inc. (eti), with the mission of improving electrical equipment safety following a wave of industrial growth and haphazard expansion of the electrical services industry in the 1950s and 1960s. “Electro-Test Inc. was built on the recognized need for independent testing services, using trained and qualified technicians, to ensure safety and reliability related to electrical projects,” shared John White, one of the early leaders with eti. Over the years, ERS also served in leadership roles to help to shape the standards and best practices of the industry.
Since the days of being one of the first nationwide electrical testing companies, ERS has grown its capabilities and national reach to having more than 20 service centers across North America. Its service portfolio grew from just testing and maintenance to now supporting the full project lifecycle with services ranging from initial design and engineering to commissioning to ongoing maintenance services. With the growing trend toward renewable energy sources, electrification, big data and IoT, ERS has expanded its customer base from electrical contractors, commercial and industrial customers to renewable energy projects, global data centers, healthcare and many other critical industries.
ERS is now celebrating its status as one of the largest electrical testing and engineering services companies in North America with a new logo and look. The rebranding is based on customer and employee input and involves a redesign of the company’s logo to include a representation of sine waves and other design elements to convey the company’s unwavering focus on electrical safety and expertise.
